Indian national congress was the largest and prominent Indian public organization, . It had a great impact on the Indian independence movement .Many Muslim community leaders, like the prominent educationalist syed Ahmed  viewed the Congress negatively, owing to its membership being dominated by Hindus. The Hindu community were also averse, seeing the Congress as supportive of Western cultural invasion. These are some of the reaction towards the national congress . Bal gangadhar tilak was the first person to instigate national movement by saying. "Swaraj is my birth right and I shall I have it" . The congress played an important role for the independence of the country and then it led to the Gandhi era . After which quit India movement and indian army were implemented . And finally leading to the freedom of the nation from British .
