Honey contains fructose, glucose and monosaccharides and water.  Honey possesses antiseptic and antibacterial properties.

However, honey should not be given to infants.  Honey may have some side effects on some persons.

Modern allopathic medicine does not believe too much on honey's medicinal properties, except about curing cough or throat irritation.
