Frogs usually breathe on land using their moist skin and buccal cavity .However , it uses lungs only if the need of Oxygen is greater.
When a frog is underwater Oxygen passes through the moist skin of the frog and passes on to the blood vessels(capillaries) underneath.
This type of respiration is called cutaneous respiration.
