(a+b)-(b+c)

a+b-b is equal to "a" so,
(a+b)-(b+c)=a+c

Then we have another "C"
so
(a+b)-(b+c)+c=a+2c
Then comes another "a" so,
(a+b)-(b+c)+c+a=2a+2b=2(a+b)
Then comes a 3 , so add that.
tex](a+b)-(b+c)+c+a+3=2(a+b)+3[/tex]
then comes another of the first part, so
it can be factored as:

(a+b)-(b+c)+c+a+3+(a+b)(b+c)(c+a)=6(a+b)+a^2+b^2+c^2
