Anything has a tendency upto which it will work and if we use it beyond its tendency thenit will start paining...smae is d case of our legs..c when u dont have a habit of walking distance ur legs will have capacity upto which they will walk normaaly but after that they will strt paining...but if u hv practice then they will adjust themselves accordingly...

THERE ARE MUSCLES WHICH TEAR AT TIMES WHEN WE DO A HEAVY EXERCISE . THESE ARE MICROSCOPIC DAMAGE AND GETS SELF TREATED WITH TIME.THESE ARE ALSO KNOWN AS MICRO TEARS.
