Cindy scored 22 points which is twice as many as jan. hence jan scored 11 points. salah scored 3 less points than jan. therefore salah scored 8 points.

Let points scored by Salah be x, points scored by Jan be x+3 and points scored by Cindy were 22 as given which was twice or 2 times the score of  Jan
Therefore, ⇒ 22 = 2(x+3)
                ⇒  \frac{22}{2} = x+3
                ⇒ 11-3 = x
                ⇒ 8= x

so in starting we supposed points of salah as x so x = 8
therefore points scored by salah were 8 and the points of Jan are 11
