A fraction has a terminating demical expansion only if the numerator and denominator have no other common factor except 1 and the denominated is in the form 2 to the power n into 5 to the power n. in this case there is denomonator is 8 which is 2 to the power 3 into 125 which is 5 to the power 3. This eans that it will have a terminating decimal expansion.
