1. first whorls -green sepals (collectively called calyx)
2. second whorls - large brightly coloured petals ( collectively called corolla)
3. third whorls - long thread-like processes somewhat projecting out and each usually ending bilobed tip these are stamens (collectively named androecium) . each stamen consists of thread -like filament and bilobed anther
4. fourth whorls - centrally located pistil.
