Cp =40, sp=36 cost of each banana is x

x=cp-sp x=4

loss%=4/40x100=10%

x=cp-sp x=4

loss%=4/40x100=10%

Then, S.P. of 4 bananas = Rs. 4 x = Loss on selling 36 bananas

and S.P. of 36 bananas = Rs. 36 x.

Loss = S.P. - C.P.

4 x = 36 x - C.P.

C.P. = 32 x.

Loss% = Loss/C.P. * 100

= 4x/32x * 100

= 12.5%

Therefore,
