Television serials are the main cause of distractions from studies, because often children think about what they had watched the earlier night in the favourite serial. Also, children develop aggression and arrogance. They try to imitate the hero and fight with the other kids. Depression is also caused sometimes, because sad scenes can often leave a huge impact on your mind. They start imagining what would have happened to them if they were in that situation. They also get addicted, and spend all their time watching TV instead of playing outside and studying, which affects the body and studies. So, watching discovery programs and channels like Animal Planet and Discovery Channel develop interest towards nature and exploring, that ensure physical exercise. Also, they give general knowledge on different animals and places, which help to excel at school. Also, watching cooking channels is also acceptable because they grow interest in making food, and get the children a hobby. Also cooking comes in handy at times, helping your mother and whipping up a small snack. They also ensure quality time with your mother or whoever cooks. Often cooking shows are interactive so they grow speaking skills while the child tries to imagine talking to the hostess, answering her questions. If a child is below 10 years, it is okay to watch cartoons, but not the violent ones that depict hitting or abusive language. The shows on Disney Junior are absolutely perfect because they are interactive and interesting to watch. They are colourful and also enhance watching, listening, guessing and even speaking qualities. Television serials are basically melodramas which can have a con effect on both physical and mental state. They urge you to sit in one place and grow fat while eating. Also, as stated before, dpression is an adverse effect on the mind. Instead of watching serials, you can go out and play, make friends and study. Also you will get to spend quality time and talk to your family which will make them happy as well. Your friends and family will help you in the long run, not the serials.
