Take about 1 g of strach (maida) in a china dish .pour about 20cc of water in it. stir the contents in the dish with a  glass rod till a milky suspension is formed .heat about 50 cc of water to the boiling point on a Bunsen flame. stir the contents of china dish continuously and pour in the boiling water. allow the contents to cool. the product so formed is the colloidal solution of starch in water
