The first bond pays 5 percent per annum which will be given to orphanage and second bond pays 7 percent per annum which will be given to N G O for cancer aid. Trust obtains an annual interest of 1800. How much amount is invested in each type of bond ?

x+z=30,000  (1)
interest of first bond=  (x*5*1)/100=5x/100
interest of second bond=(z*7*1)/100=7x=100
5x+7z=30,000 (2)
5x+5z=180000  {multiplying  5 in  eq (1)}(3)
now eq(2) -eq (3)
2z=30000
=z=15000

from eq (1)
x+z=30000
x+15000=30000
x=15000

therefore  amount invested in both bonds is 15000
