To solve the trignometric problems u need to know following trignometric identities:
1. tan = sin/cos
2. 1 - sin square = cos square
3. 1 - 
cos square = sin square

There are 3 fundamental trig identities 
1) sin²-cos²=1
2)1+tan²=sec²
3)1+cot²=cosec²
you can learn these and all other can be framed by these 3
