A friend is someone who stays by your side and helps you in the most difficult of times. Friends share emotions and understand each others feeling. Lack of friends or no friends at all can lead to depression. Feelings are not exchanged which leads to lack of communication. A person with no friends at first seems fine but later starts to develop a sort of trauma and becomes diffident. Having no friends really hurts feelings. Loneliness is the cause of depression.
