The ionosphere is actually the layer of the atmosphere which is almost at the extreme outer part of the Earth,s atmosphere. The molecules and free atoms in the ionosphere are agitated and energized by the solar radiations(mainly-UV-A and UV-B), which is because, they loose the free electrons(some on the other hand gain electrons lost by the others) and turn into ions or charged particles. Thus, the ionosphere is named.
