Platelets's function is to clot the blood and prevent bleeding outside the body. if there are no platelets in the blood, then if we have a simple cut also, then the blood will flow and its flow can't be stopped due to absence of platelets. thus it will lead to death.

During cuts in our body,it is the platelets which clots the blood to prevent bleeding.In absence of platelets,the blood will countinue to flow forever.Hope it helps and pls mark as the best answer. :-)
