Let her current age be x
 X+5=3(X-9)
X+5=3X-27
3X-X=5+27
2X=32
X=32/2
X=16
She is 16 years old now.

Let her present age be x.9 yrs ago her age would be x-9.sim after 5 yrs u will add to the present age i,e x+5.now its given 3( x+5)=x-9 I.e 3x+15=x- 9 2x=14 So x=7 Thus her present age is7 So x=7
