It is a known fact that traders of Britain conquered India to get its wealth to their country.
The Britishers implemented various ways to loot India and one such way was heavy tax on basic necesity of diet-salt.
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi- active freedom fighter, also known as father of the nation, decided to break this unjust law.
He marched from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad till coast of Dandi, a major salt producing centre.
There he took a fistful of salt and modestly broke the law of salt tax.
This began a revolution in youth of opposition and is also called the best agitation after the non cooperation movement of 1920.
