Let the roots of the polynomial be α and β
Given  α+β = 3
and αβ = -2
WE know that the quadratic polynomial when α and β are the roots is
x² - (α+β)x + αβ
= x² - (3)x + (-2)
= x² - 3x - 2
∴The quadratic polynomial is x²-3x-2
1 5 1
 4+ (-4) - 8 = 0                    4-4-8 = 0                  4-12 = 0       -8 = 0
Since x = -2 in the eq does not give out 0 as a result it is not a zero of the polynomial
thanks buddy hey can you please help me for my homework today
