Ammonia is not a metal . it is present in window cleaners. it is basic in nature. we can test it by red litmus paper. then it turns to blue. so ammonia is not a metal . 99% of the basically natured objects will not be metals

Ammonia is a nonmetal as it has nitrogen and hydrogen which r both non metals.the bond formed is polar covalent bond as the shared electron pair is unequally distributed in them.
