Area = πr² = 22r²/7

100% of r increase

= r + 100% of r

= r + (100/100)×r

= r + r

= 2r units

New radius = 2r units

New area = π (2r)²

= 22/7 × 4r²

= 88r²/7

Difference in the area = 88r²/7 - 22r²/7

= (88r² - 22r²)/7

= 66r²²/7

Percentage in increase in area = [(66r²/7) / (22r²/7)] × 100

= [66r² / 22r²] × 100 [ 7 on both numerator and denominator get cancelled]

= 3× 100

= 300%
