There is a right triangle with sides h,(altitude) , s/2 ( half of a side)

And the hypotenuse is s

Pythagoras :

h² + (s/2)² = s²

(√6)² + s²/4 = s²

6 = s² - s²/4

6 = 3s²/4

3s² =24

s²=24/3

s=√8

Area =hs/2

√6×√8/3

√48/2
