I don't think that matrices are used . The statements can be represented by equations as follows :-
Statement 1) → a + b + c = 6
Statement 2) → 3c + b = 11
Statement 3) → a + c
= 2b
Substituting a + c in equation 1
⇒2b + b = 6
⇒3b = 2
⇒ b = 2

Substituting value of b in equation 2
⇒3c + 2 = 11
⇒3c = 9
⇒c = 3

Substituting c in equation 3
⇒ a + 3 = 4
⇒a = 1

∴ a = 1 ; b = 2 ; c = 3
