- you could just help him out by telling or suggesting or probably advising him to talk directly to his friend in a friendly manner and clarify all the misunderstandings or any other problems to prevent any further problem in the future.
- you could even try to calm him and be optimistic

- i would like to suggest him to just simply talk directly to him as mentioned in point 1 of the first part
- also i would advice not to be hyper and get down with the friend's talks
