Water. Water is a fluid which supports life. Nearly all the living beings in the world consume water. Without water living things cannot live.

So, water is often called the life. 

In chemistry, water is known to be a chemical compound which consists of 2 Hydrogen atoms and 1 Oxygen atom. Water is a polar molecule.

Water is an universal solution, because almost any substance can be dissolved in water.
 
There are three states of water. Water is primarily a liquid. When it solidifies, water turns into a solid, called ice. When it is heated too much, it changes into a gas, known as steam.

The melting point of water is 0° C. Water boils at 100° C, which is its boiling point.
