JULIUS CAESAR

Julius Caesar is one of the most popular Shakespearean plays written around 1350's. This is a tragedy. It is a dramatic portray of the fall of Julius Ceasar.
The play starts and people rejoice in the streets for the yet another victory of Caesar - the brave general, over Pompey, thus establishing the monarchy of Julius Caesar alone. The ambitious, yet loyal, Brutus is persuaded by Cassius to join the group of people who are extremely jealous of Caesar's fame and power and determined to secure the throne for themselves. However, Brutus does not have any evil intention of killing Caesar; on the other hand, his belief is that Julius Caesar might misuse his power and cause great trouble for Rome and its people, so he decides it would be better to slay him. With Brutus' leadership, the party of men succeed in murdering Julius Caesar, leading to great bloodshed, havoc, riots and confusion within the city. At his funeral, Mark Antony and Marcus Brutus each hold a speech, where Antony's inspirational and emotional dictation stir people's heart and proves itself successful in turning people into its way. All the people burn all the houses of the traitors who killed their beloved Julius Caesar. Later, a huge war was declared between Mark Antony with Octavius and Brutus with Cassius. Brutus'army loses the way and Brutus himself commits suicide, in learning that Cassius had betrayed him and got him into killing his friend - Julius Caesar.
