During rains, raindrops dont hit the forest floor directly .
they settle on leaves, branches and barks .this happenes usually in very dense forests. Trees absorb the water they need, but the un needed water remains on leaves.many birds or fast winds move the leaves or branches of the trees due to which the water falls on the ground and by absorption gradually reaches the water table.
