Since the refractive index of glass = speed of light in air / speed of light in glass .
C= v/n
4/3= v/ 2 x 10' 8
v= 4/3 x 2 x 10' 8
= 8/3 x 10' 8
= 2.6 x 10' 8
by rounding off the 2.6 x 10' 8 we get 3 x 10' 8

REFRACTIVE INDEX OF WATER = speed of light in air / speed of light in water .
n = u/w
w = v/n
= 3 x 10' 8 / 3/2  ..... [ here 3/2 is from the question]

The refractive index of water with respect to air = 4/3

The refractive index of glass with respect to air = 3/2

(1) Refractive index (of a medium)

= speed of light in air / speed of light in medium

3/2 = speed of light in air / 2 x 108 ms-1

: Speed of light in air = 3x10 -8 ms-1

(2) 4/3 = speed of light in air / speed of light in water

or  4/3 = 3 X 10 8 m/s / speed of light in water

or speed of light in water = 9/4 X10 8

= 2.25 X 10 8 ms-1.
