The percentage of inhaled oxygen is 21 percent but the amount of oxygen exhaled is 16 percent this is because we need oxygen for oxidation process......my questions is percentage of inhaled carbon dioxide is 0.03 percent but exhaled percentage of the same is 4 percent.-I want to know why we exhale more carbon dioxide than what we inhale.....please answer ASAP

THIS IS BECAUSE OXYGEN IS A COMPONENT USED FOR CELLULAR RESPIRATION...SO WHEN THE OXYGEN IS UTILIZED THEN LESS AMOUNT OF O2 IS RELEASED.IN CORRESPONDENCE WHEN O2 IS UTILLIZED CO2 IS PRODUCED AS A BY PRODUT SO LESS WE INHALE BUT AFTER THE CELLULAR PROCESS O2 DECREASES AND CO2 INCREASES....
