Transverse waves are those waves in which the particle vibrate up and down at right angles to the direction of wave propagation .
in transverse wave the elevated part is known as crest and depressed part is trough.
at crest pressure will be maximum

i said at crest the pressure will be maximum and at trough pressure will be minimun
