Swimming helps us to strengthen  our hips & leg muscles.It is beneficial  to people with arthritis & for patients  who have been advised by physiotherapy . Still,workout in the pool on a hot summer day is preferable to a jog or a walk.This builds up the leg muscles besides it has a several aerobic benefits for the heart.
