The National movement in india was aimed at freeing india from colonialism. it was lead by the congress particularly its major leader Mahatma Gandhi the movement saw people coming on streets protesting . holding strikes,rallies,picketing liquir shops burning foreign clothes and even went to jail many people lost their lives while serving the nation.The major communities which participated in this movement were rich peasantry,bussiness class,workers,poor peasants and even woman. However the muslims and untouchables did not participate also the movement was limited to north and western india southern and north eastern parts were not much involved
