1. Gram Sabha consists of all the adult (
above 18) members of a village ( or a cluster of villages). Whereas, the
Gram Panchayat is a small body whose members are elected.
2. The term of Gram Panchayat is usually 5 years, whereas Gram Sabha is a permanent body and not subject to dissolution.
3. Gram panchayat is a sort of executive organ of Gram Sabha. The Gram Sabha monitors and evaluates the work of Gram Panchayat.
