The endocrine glands are the glands that releases their secreations in the blood stream which caries them to the target organs are known as endocrine glands.
Hypothamlus-The hypothalamus is situated in the brain.
Pituitary - The pituitary gland is an important gland and it is often referred to as the 'master gland', because it controls several of the other hormone glands.
Thyroid & parathyroid -The thyroid gland is situated at the back of the neck, near the windpipe.

*Pituitary gland- located in the bony cavity called sella tursica and is attached to the hypothalamus by a stalk.
*Pineal gland - part of forebrain.
*Thyroid gland - beside trachea.
