The formula of Ammonium Chloride is NH₄Cl.

It is formed by the reaction of Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) and Ammonium Hydroxide (NH₄OH).

Now, HCl is a STRONG ACID and NH₄OH is WEAK BASE. As Ammonium Chloride is formed by the reaction of A Strong Acid and a Weak Base, it is acidic in nature.

STRONG ACID/BASE: An acid/base which ionizes or dissociates completely in its aqueous solution is called a strong acid/base.

WEAK ACID/BASE:  An acid/base which ionizes or dissociates incompletely or partially in its aqueous solution is called a weak acid/base.
