In solids , the molecules are very closely packed and hence have strong molecular forces of attraction.
In liquids , the molecules are loosely packed and hence have moderate forces of attraction (  less than that in solids ).
In gases , the molecules are very loosely packed and hence has negligible forces of attraction.

Intermolecular forces are forces acting between the molecules of matter.
There is not enough space in solid.
There is more space in liquid compare to solids.
There is very much space in Gas.
Gas>Liquid>Solid.
