It is very rich in nutrients ,proteins ,carbohydrates,vitamins and doesn't have bad impact on body and infact keeps it healthy its DISADVANTAGE is it doesnt taste good it may be sour or bitter ,pulpy etc.,
Ex:-ugadi pickle in andhra pradesh is made ocassionally on ugadi festival which consists of a pulp taste

Traditional food is mostly balanced..so it is advantageous.. But also it may contain huge amounts of oils,ghee.....it is a good source of health ..
