Carbohydrates - They are an important part of our diet. They provide us with instant energy and are useful for on the spot energy. e.g. Bread, Potato, etc.
Proteins - They are also known as the building blocks as they help us grow and help in the development of tissues and muscles in our body. e.g. Meat, milk, etc.
Vitamins and Minerals - They help heal up bones, wounds, and increase our immunity. They also convert food into energy, and repair cellular damage. Though they are important, they are required in small amounts. e.g. Fruits and Vegetables
Fats - They are required for stored energy. Fat is a backup source of energy to fuel you when carbohydrates are not available. e.g. Butter, meat, liver.
