For finding the zero of a polynomial p(x) put
p(x) = 0
1.  ax+b = 0
     x = -b/a

2.   ax = 0
      as a ≠ 0 and for hole polynomial to be zero
      x must be zero hence,
      x = 0

1.p(x)=ax+b
  p( -b/a)=a( -b/a)+b                            ax+b=0
            = -b +b                                   ax=  -b
            =0.                               therefore x=( -b/a)
Therefore,( -b/a)is the zero of the polynomial.
2.p(x)=ax
p(0/a)=a(0/a)                                  ax=0
        =0                           therefore,x=(0/a)
Therefore (0/a) is the zero of the polynomial.
