(A+B)'s 1-day work = 1/12

(B+C)'s 1-day work = 1/16

A works for 5 days , B works for 7 days and C works for 13 days.

The work done work is equivalent to (A+B) working together for 5 days, (B+C) working together for 2 days and C working alone for 11 days.

Work done by (A+B) for 5 days + (work done by (B+C) forĀ  days = 5/12 + 2/16 = 13/24.

Remaining work = 1 - 13/24 = 11/24.

This 11/24 work is done by C in 11 days ==> work done by C in 1 day = (1/11)x(11/24) = 1/24.

Hence C alone can do the work in 24 days.
