Miss sullivan is the teacher and constant companion of helen. she successfully awakens helen's soul to light and freedom, and sets her spirit free. on 3rd march, 1887, miss sullivan enters the house of kellers. from that day, helen's life took a turn: from darkness to light, from isolation to friendship. miss sullivan was a very patient teacher and considerate and never felt bad or misunderstood helen's frustration and discontentment. she taught helen to communicate with the help of fingers and assisted her to every institution helen studied in throughout her academic life. miss sullivan's method of teaching was very effective. she illustrated every poem and story . she used to teach helen in the laps of nature. this way she not only made helen learn but a good bond was formed between them. helen gives all credit of her success to miss sullivan.
