A gas cylinder filled with hydrogen holds 50 gm of the gas .The same cylinder holds 200 gm of gas A and 500 gm of gas B considering the same conditions of temperature and pressure in the cylinder , calculate the relative molecular masses of gases A and B

The molecular mass of gas A is 8 gm and the molecular mass of gas B is 20 gm
since let the pressure inside the cylinder be p and temperature be T and volume of cylinder be v
now given mass of hydrogen is 50 gm and molecular mass of hydrogen = 2 gm 
therefore no. of moles present in cylindr is=50/2=25 
now according to ideal gas equation pv=nRT
                                                      v=25RT/p............1
now let the molecular mass of gas A be mA
and given mass is 200gm
according to ideal gas equation 
pv=nRT
v=200/mA×RT/p........2
from 1 and 2
25RT/p=200/mA×RT/p
mA=8gm
similarly u can find molecular mass of gas B
