Vertex  A = (x, y) ,
then  centroid :  1 = (x+9+-9)/3 = x/3   => x = 3
4 = (y-8+7)/3 =     =>   y = 13

Equation of side BC =   y + 8 = (x-9) (7+8)/-9-9) = -5 (x-9)/6
6 y + 48 = - 5 x  + 45
5 x + 6 y + 3 = 0
Perpendicular distance from A to BC =

click on thank you link
can u please write down the formulas for equatn bc and perpendicular dist of bc..
ok... perpendicular distance from (x1,y1) on to line ax+by+c=0, is |a*x1+b*y1+c| divided by square root (a^2+b^2) .
alright.. hope u got it
yes sir i got it thank u.can u solve the other problem which i had posted i.e the clock...
