The junk food are pre-processed food with less nutritional value and are high in fats, sugar and salt. People, of all age groups , due to the life style change are moving towards junk food. This offers them with a hassle free , ready to eat food options. Research has revealed that this type food lack the basic nutrients required for the general growth of mind and body. The high sugar results in spike in energy level and result in sleeping disorders. The most common bad effect is obesity which has become very common. Early puberty has been attributed to eating of junk food. In addition to this, long term use can lead Heart diseases, blood pressure and even cancer. Since junk foods are not easy to digest and consume larger amounts of energy from the body. As this affects mind , it is not suitable for students who do lot of brain exercise during study.
