EASTERN COASTAL PLAIN:(i) It stretches from West Bengal in east. (ii) It is divided into deltas such as Mahanadi and Krishna-Godavari deltas, Kanyakumari and Coromandel coasts and the Northern Circars. (iii) It is situated between the Eastern ghats and the Bay of Bengal and is about 100 to 130 km wide.
WESTERN COASTAL PLAIN:(i) Itstreches from Gujarat in west. (ii) It consists of the Northern circars, the central Kanara coast and the South Malabar coast. (iii) It i situated between the Western ghats and the Arabian Sea and it about 50 to 100 km.
