I think criminals are not born but made because of certain conditions in theier lives. Committing crime is definitely not something one is born with, but gradually over time it takes place because of certain situations or circumstances that life throws at a person. Things like child abuse, unemployment, and the environment in which one grows up, makes a criminal. Children who have been abused are more likely to grow up to be criminals because they grow up with a large amount of hate that they do not know how to deal with. One way to cope with the way they feel is to be violent towards everybody else.
The environment that children grow up in plays a key role as well. If a child is exposed to seeing drug dealers on every corner, it is only a matter of time before they get confronted by one themselves. Once they get hooked on drugs and cannot afford to pay, they start stealing. If the child is given attention and stopped at an earlier age, I don’t think the child is likely to continue. This could do a lot in preventing children from inappropriate behaviour. Parents need to guide their children and teach them wrong from right. If raised in the proper way, many can be saved from living a life of a criminal.
According to the article, criminals start their life as unattached children with a genetic predisposition. I agree that this might be a cause of insane thinking but I think nothing is impossible if a child is stopped in his/her earlier years. Children learn a lot by observing and if parents protected their children from coming in contact with violence either being seen or done, I think the child would have no problem in growing normally. The article also states that a child without a right conscience is usually a result of him/her not having proper bonding or attachment to one’s mother. This proves further that children are turned into criminals because of some reason in their earlier or later lives and are not born
