and perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B)
                                        34  =  2(L + B)

                                                     breadth = b
given that length of a rectangular mobile handset is 3 cm more than its breath.
or l = b + 3
perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b)
⇒ 34 = 2(l + b)
⇒ 34/2 = l + b
⇒ 17 = l + b 
⇒ 17 = b+3 + b
⇒ 2b + 3 = 17
⇒ 2b = 17 - 3
⇒ b = 14/2 = 7cm
    l = b + 3 = 7+3 = 10 cm 

So length of the mobile handset is 10 cm.
