In a circular magnet, the magnetic lines of force emerge and wrap around. The flat faces are the poles of a circular magnet.
Well a thing i want to tell you is that magnetic monopoles do not exist in the nature of magnet, saying it simply that only one north/south pole do not exist. It is true for all the magnets of any shape and size.
