So using formula for a GP with first term a and common difference r

we have nth term =

so 6 th term is 8 times third term

so ar⁵ = 8ar²

⇒ r = 2

the sum of its first two terms

a + ar = 42

⇒ a(1 + 2) = 42

⇒ a = 14

so the GP is

14 , 28, 56 .......

hope this helps
plz mark as best
thank u
