The expression will be negative only when you substitute x =-5/3
AS THE EQUATION ALREADY HAS X+5/3=0
SO X WILL BE -5/3 WHICH WILL MAKE IT NEGATIVE
2 3 2
if x + 5/3 is 0 the whole equation would be 0, isn't it???

[x+5/3] [x-3] =0
x+5/3=0 ⇒ x=-5/3, this is negative.
x-3=0 ⇒ x=3, this is positive.
